Feedback
A company-wide survey was emailed out to the Calgary, Langley and Sturgeon County offices in May of 2026. The survey included six questions covering awareness of the accessibility plan, the built environment, information and communication technologies (ICT), accessibility of documents and training materials, support when requesting accommodations, and any unmet accessibility needs. A total of 27 people responded to the survey.
The results of the survey were as follows:
• Are you aware of the company’s accessibility plan? – 92.3% Yes, 7.7% No
• Do you find the environment you work in meeting your needs physically and mentally? – 100% Yes
• Do you find the IT and Communication methods are meeting your needs both physically and mentally? – 100% Yes
• Have you encountered challenges accessing documents, training, or communication materials due to disability or accessibility issues? – 88.5% No, 11.5% Yes
• Do you feel supported when requesting accessibility accommodations? – 100% Yes
• Are there any specific accessibility needs you feel are unmet? – 100% No
Overall, the survey results indicate that employees feel the work environment, IT and communication methods, and accommodation support are meeting their accessibility needs, and that no specific accessibility needs are currently unmet. A small number of respondents indicated that they were not aware of the company’s accessibility plan, and a small number indicated that they had encountered challenges accessing documents, training or communication materials. These results have been taken into consideration when drafting this progress report, particularly in the areas of Employment (continued awareness of the plan and the accommodation request policy) and Communication (continuing the standardized process for requesting accessible formats of documents and training materials).
In addition to the formal survey, Northwest continues to accept feedback at any time through the contact methods listed above. All feedback received during the reporting period was reviewed by the Director of HR and shared with the relevant leadership group.
