OUR EDUCATION FUND

At Northwest, we’re proud to support all our team members families in the pursuit of higher education.

We believe everyone should have access to education. If you are a member of the Northwest Tanklines Team in any capacity, we encourage you to invite your children (or grandchildren) to take advantage of our funding program.

EDUCATION FUND SPECIFICATIONS

Available Amounts: Up to $5,000 per scholarship

Number of Scholarships Available: Maximum of 4

Areas of Study Covered: Trades, Business, Sciences, Maths, Technology, Social Impact, Education

Application Deadlines: January 15 and August 15 annually

Course Load Requirements: Part-Time (1/3 minimum) or Full-Time

Academic Standing Requirements: 70% or minimum program requirement

Community Service Hours: 120 hours

WHO CAN APPLY?

We designed our Education Fund to be flexible, accessible, and applicable to any full or part-time educational, trade or technical pursuits in Canada or the United States. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are pursuing an education in Sciences, Technology, Education, Maths, Trades, Business, Arts or Professional Certifications and Designations.

THE DETAILS

Every year, the Northwest Opportunities Through Education Scholarship Program disburses $25,000 in scholarships and bursaries to support the continued education of Northwest families. Each applicant can receive up to $5000 in scholarships from the education fund.

To apply, all applicants must:

  • Be enrolled or enrolling in a full-time or part-time program at an accredited institution for the upcoming school year.
  • Provide a transcript with marks from final year of secondary or previous post-secondary education showing a minimum grade achievement of 70%.
  • Provide an essay outlining student’s career goals.
  • Provide an essay outlining student’s community involvement and/or extra-curricular activities.

We accept applications twice a year. Applicants need to complete and submit all documents for their application by August 15th for the Fall Semester and January 15th for the Winter Semester.
