Class 1 Tank Truck Driver – BC

We are currently hiring a Class 1 Driver for BC to haul fluid products for both the Pulp & Paper and the Oil & Gas industry. The work would be 80% in the Nanaimo area, 10% in the Langley area, and 10% in the NBC/AB area.     Compliance Coordinator

    Currently, we are hiring a Compliance Coordinator to join our Calgary office. This role will work with a current Maintenance Coordinator, HSE Supervisor and will report to the Director of Fleet Services. This position will be a hybrid of Maintenance and HSE functions with the primary focus being supporting the Northwest operations and ensuring equipment maintenance and compliance is in keeping with transportation regulations, policies and Northwest’s high safety standards.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Maintenance Functions:

  • Understand and embrace Northwest’s business, values, and strategic objectives
  • Organizing and booking scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance for Northwest equipment
  • Issue purchase order numbers using our internal system, TMT
  • Communicate with vendors and shops to maintain relationships and ensure repair timelines are managed
  • Match-up, authorize, code and enter incoming payables
  • Organize and manage all fleet compliance requirements
  • Scan appropriate Compliance documents and accurately file in electronic Google Drive filing system
  • Create ad-hoc reports utilizing our transportation software, TMW; schedule PM servicing
  • Monitoring unit document expirations
  • Prorated and AB only registration renewals on a biannual basis
  • Perform periodic checks of all units and troubleshoot areas of concerns for further communications with drivers and management to keep units safely on the road at all times.
  • Reporting lease mileages, monitoring warranty expirations and inventory control
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects as required.
  • Be aware of, and help fulfill as needed, Northwest’s commitment to Responsible Care and Transcaer.
  • Working closely with other departments: Administration, Human Resources, Health and Safety and Operations
  • Taking ownership of units/zones to ensure the best utilization and fit for applications
  • Experience working with Omnitracs and satellite tracking systems is an asset
  • Flexibility/Desire in receiving projects, seeing them through, and keeping them up to date

  • New Driver Training
  • Driver & Plant Management

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years of previous maintenance or logistics experience
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience on TMW, TMT, Google Drive is an asset
  • Exceptionally high of attention to detail in regard to details, spreadsheets, shop requirements, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional ability to communicate with drivers, vendors, shops, and staff
  • On-Call rotation every other weekend
