Recap Tires

At Northwest, we run recap tires, which are tires that have been retreaded or reconditioned to extend their life. When a tire’s tread wears down over time, the tire is no longer safe to use and must be replaced. By using recap tires, we can safely extend the life of our tires, lowering our carbon footprint and reducing the amount of waste we produce. Great for the environment, great for safety – that’s how we roll.

Driver Education

We encourage all our drivers to watch their fuel consumption and lessen our environmental impact by not idling their units. We always aim to be more fuel efficient each year that we’re on the road. We play as a team at Northwest, so we’re all doing our part to achieve our fuel efficiency goals.

Dual Fuel Hydrogen/Diesel Engines with CleanBC

We are proud to be involved with CleanBC, a program launched by the provincial government of British Columbia in Canada to promote clean energy and climate action. The program includes a range of initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase the use of renewable energy and support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

We are running dual fuel hydrogen/diesel units to help lower our carbon footprint. Hydrogen is obtained through renewable sources, providing a source of zero-emission fuel for our trucks. By incorporating hydrogen energy into our units, we can significantly reduce our carbon emissions.
